To enroll in the Athath Fellowship, we advise you to consider the following selection criteria before applying.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following qualities:​

• Enthusiasm for hands-on making and active participation at MAKE.

• Passion for design and prototyping, paired with curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.

• Proactiveness, self-motivation, and a commitment to iterative design and making.

• Enjoyment of collaborative environments and active engagement with diverse audiences.

Applicants should ideally possess the following:​

• A strong foundation in creative skills, critical thinking, and a strong portfolio of construction forms.

• Basic skills in drawing, sketching, and CAD 2D/3D are highly valued.

• Relevant studies and/or experience in design, product design, or hands-on making.

• Essential soft skills, including communication and presentation abilities.

• Availability to attend all program sessions in Abu Dhabi as per the programme schedule.

• A minimum age of 21 years.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for the creative industry.

• A few years of professional practice are preferred.​​​
